HEPA & ULPA Filters :

High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA ) and Ultra-Low Particulate Air (ULPA) filters are manufactured utilizing the latest developments in filtration technology.

HEPA & ULPA Filter Specifications & Requirements:

CleanZones’ HEPA and ULPA filters are designed to meet the stringiest of medical requirements and regulations. Using the _Mini-Pleat_ design, this microglass filter media pack is sealed to an anodized aluminum frame with a urethane-bonding agent. A neoprene gasket (SCE-43 grade 1/4” x3/4”) with dovetailed corner joints is affixed to the frame to prevent air bypass. Each filter is individually tested with PSL (polystyrene latex spheres) and meet the specifications of Type C/ Type D as per the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology Recommended Practice for HEPA/ULPA Filters. HEPA filters are 99.99% efficient at the MPPS and ULPA filters are available with 99.9995% at the MPPS. The standard panel HEPA filters have a 2” media pack in a 3” deep anodized aluminum frame. Filters are also available in 6” deep aluminum frames for older style units.

For special applications where the bora-silicia fibers of standard HEPA/ULPA filters represent a problem for trace metal applications, a PTFE media filter is available with an efficiency of 99.9995% on 0.07 microns.

HEPA & ULPA Filter Industries & Applications:

HEPA and ULPA filters can be used in several industries including, medical, aerospace, defense Bio-tech and more.

HEPA & ULPA filters are ideal for use in medical industries and hospitals due to their ability to filter air and prevent contamination of staff, patients, the general public and more. High air quality is crucial to keeping patients safe and healthy. CleanZones’ HEPA and ULPA filters can be used in several medical and pharmaceutical applications including but not limited to,

  • Air filtration devices
  • Neonatal incubators
  • Medical & Pharmaceutical laboratories
  • Antimicrobial HEPA filters for hospital warming devices

Laminar Flow Hoods that house these HEPA filters are an effective way to create an ISO Class 5 Enclosure for critical applications. Biological Safety Cabinets are an additional way to provide both product and personnel protection.
